We have reached the highest city of our trip, Lhasa (unless we go way off the plan)! At 3,490 m (11,450 ft) we’re enjoying the fresh mountain air after the big cities we’ve been in for the past week and a half.
The next two days hold visits to the Patola Palace (which I can see from the window of our room right now) and several monasteries and temples. Sadly I don’t think we’ll have enough free time to go for a hike, so we’ll just have to come back someday!
